When is the best time to visit Yoron Island?
Yoron Island is an island that can be enjoyed all year round, but different seasons offer different attractions.
Summer (May to October): this is when marine activities are at their peak giving many choices of marine sports and leisure.
Winter (November to April): a different and more relaxed atmosphere than in summer, where you can get acquainted with the nature and culture of the island.
Stargazing tours, eco-tours, yoga, saunas and glass-bottomed boats are just some of the activities to experience. These activities are also offered throughout the year.
Other: Yoron Island also hosts a variety of events and festivals throughout the year. It is recommended to take part in these events to understand and appreciate the culture of the island.
Tip: The climate on Yoron is mild, but the island can be affected by typhoons. It is advisable to check the weather forecast before travelling.
What is included in the accommodation fee?
Is it possible to change the number of people staying in the villa at a later Date?
Once you have checked in it is not possible to add guests other than the guest who booked with their party. Please contact us to make any changes to your booking.
Do you accept foreign currency or is there an exchange facility?
We do not accept foreign currency and there is no exchange facility. Please make sure to change your currency into Yen before you arrive on the island.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is by 12pm.
If you wish to check in/out outside these times, please contact us.
Are rental cars available? How can I get around the island?
About our car service:
you will be given a car with a full tank of gas for use during your stay.
You may leave the car without a filling the tank, but we will not provide any refueling during your stay.
E-bikes are available free of charge:
- Please use the helmets provided
- Child seats for the e-bikes are also provided free of charge.
Other means of transport:- There is a driver service on the island
- There are several bike and car rentals.
Are there child seats for the car and E-bikes?
Yes, we provide a child seat for children from 1 to 6 years old.
Are there any staff at the villa?
To ensure a truly private and relaxing experience, our villa does not have on-site staff. As a fully reserved, standalone villa, it offers a quiet and luxurious retreat.
Our staff are available at the reception office from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Please feel free to reach out during these hours if you need any assistance. For emergencies, you may contact the front desk staff at any time.
Are pets allowed?
We are sorry, but pets are not permitted in or on the property.
Is smoking permitted?
Smoking is not permitted inside the villa, around the pool or in the car and can result in paying a fine. There is a designated smoking area on the property that the staff will show you upon check-in.
What size are the beds?
In each room there are two beds, one standard Japanese double bed 140cm x 200 cm, and one Queen size bed 160cm x 200cm
※For small children and babies, there is a bed guard and a portable travel cot.
How far is the villa from the beach?
The beach is directly in front of the villa with access from the garden.
How many people can stay at the villa?
The villa can accommodate up to 8 guests, although there are two bedrooms with one double bed and one queen bed in each room, it is ideally for 4 adults and 4 children. The price is a flat rate, regardless of the number of guests.
How much privacy do we have on the property?
The villa is private and exclusive to guests. The grounds are reserved for the exclusive use of our guests.
Can you clarify the rental rate for the villa?
The rate is a flat rate per night in self-catering accommodation. Rates may vary throughout the year depending on the season. Any additional costs can be settled at check out.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation fees are as follows:
- On the day of arrival or on previous day of arrival: 100%
- 7 days prior to arrival Date: 50%
- 15 days prior to arrival Date: 20%
100% of the accommodation fee will also be withheld for unannounced no-shows or arrivals.
In case of flight or ferry cancellation due to natural causes such as typhoons or force majeure, no cancellation fee will be applied.
Cancellations must be made in writing by email or fax.
Breakage and care of the facility
We will ask you to let us know if there is anything that is broken or missing prior to your departure. If you have broken or damaged anything on the property, we will then assess the damage for a possible refund, depending on the seriousness of the matter. In the case of major damage, we will assess the cost of loss of business that requires the closure of the structure, as well as the cost of repair for a refund.
How far is the nearest shop to get groceries?
There are three grocery and general stores about a 10 minute drive from the villa (Kameya, Unoki and Top). In the main town Chabana, there are more shops and supermarkets.
Do you serve any meals?
The villa has a fully equipped kitchen for the guest’s disposal, but it is possible to reserve breakfast as well as the ingredients for the BBQ. We also provide a delivery service for fresh bread and local vegetables. Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies and whether you would like to book any of these services. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Free water bottles and juice is provided in the minibar.
Are there any restaurants?
There are a number of restaurants on the island. We highly recommend our guests to make reservations in advance. Please contact us if you need assistance to make a reservation.
Are all the necessary tools for barbecuing provided?
Yes, we provide the basic tools needed for barbecuing. The barbecue grill runs on gas which is also provided. If you are unfamiliar with the use of this particular grill, we will assist you.
