Design Concept

When I first visited this place in the winter of 2021, I was struck by the beauty of the scenery. The colours of the shoal change with time, it never gets tiring to look at, and I don't think there's a more beautiful sea than Yurigahama beach on Yoron Island.

The project was finally completed in the summer of 2025
The building has a simple horizontal form with a covered outdoor living room at its centre, where you can enjoy the stunning sea views from every room. With high ceilings and modest materials, the idea was to create a dramatic effect when the entrance door opens and the magnificent sea spreads out before you.
My hope is that the flora will grow and it will become a part of this magnificent nature, making it a comfortable place for visitors.
